Current Empties #1

These are my current beauty products that I've used up and it is filing up my reusable Coles bag, in this blog I will explain whether or not I liked the product and would I repurchase it again. Lets get started shall we?

NYX Lip Pencils - Purple Rain
I have heaps of these NYX lip pencils in my collection to be frank these are not as smooth or creamy like the Mac Cosmectic's ones, that's not to say they are hard to apply on my lips they are ok for the price as they are inexpensive I do not remember how much I paid for these as I bought them in 6 colours (which I got to choose) on eBay from a seller in the US.

I wouldn't repurchase it again, I want to save up and collect a lot of the Mac Cosmetic's lip liners as I've heard girls talk about it all over YouTube. I do own one in Magenta and I used to have Fashion Boost (Prolong wear) and Cremola (twist up), Cremola is discontinued (don't know why though) and I quite liked them especially the prolong wear lip liners they lasted very long on my lips, they are super creamy and they glide on the lips like butter, but I wouldn't buy it again as they are expensive as in Australia it is $42 each.

Essence Stay Natural Concelaers
I purchased these concealers when Priceline had their 40% all cosmetics sale last November, on that day I had bought 10 Essence concealers (yes I went a bit overboard) along with my all time favourite liquid eyeliner which I will show you in this blog as I have finished them also :) the reason why I bought so much of their concealers is because I went for the cheapest one they had on sale and I am not into concealers so I do not mind getting a less expensive brand.

The only high end concealer I have in my collection would be my Mac Cosmetics Prolong Wear Concealer in NW20, with the Essence concealers I have been using the shades in Soft Honey and Soft Nude. These are ok for the price they do not hold a lot of product only 1.5ml as to Mac Cosmetic's Prolong wear 9ml so that goes to show they run out pretty quickly I am down to my last three of the Essence concealers but would I repurchase them again? Yes I would if Priceline had another cosmetic sale as they are very cheap these are originally $4.10 at Priceline but with the 40% off they were down to $2.46!

Savvy Liquid Concealer
These Savvy liquid concealers are the same reason with the Essence also, I have bought 5 of these Savvy concealers but these have more product than the Essence they hold 5ml and I finished the shade in Light. They are $4.99 but with the 40% off sale I got it for $2.99! These are ok as well nothing special they are really pigmented for the price and glides on like a dream. If I had to choose between this or the Essence it would be the Essence as it is a twist up form and less expensive than this one but would I buy it again? Only if they ran out of the Essence one lol that was the only reason why I bought it as both my local Priceline store were sold out from the sale, so I searched for another less expensive concealer and this was next in line.

Aqium Antibacterial Hand Sanitiser with Aloe
These are a must in my daily life as I use this at work and at home, at work I use it after I have washed my hands going to the toilet and even at home as well. I always take that extra care at work because I work in front of a computer and they say the keyboard has the most bacteria in the office more than the toilet! I buy these at my local Chemist Warehouse for $5.99 for the 375ml which I think it is quite expensive for just a hand sanitiser.

As you can see in the right photo I still have quite a lot of product left but the pump does not go right down the bottom which I hate as some companies try to gibb you off. Personally, I try to make sure I use 100% on all my products (if I can find a way to take it out), at work I am currently using the cheaper option $2.99 or $1.99 I can't remember from Chemist Warehouse and sorry I don't remember the brand name and that works just as well. I wouldn't be repurchasing this product because of the price as there are good and less expensive alternatives out there.

Mac Cosmetics Fix+ Spray 30ml
I purchased this product 2 years ago when my good friend Linda took me to the Mac Pro store, as I was paying for my MSF Soft and Gentle, Candy Yum Yum lipstick and my Prolong wear concealer I got sucked into their minis at the counter, I got it because it was so cute and I can place it in my bag so I can hydrate my face during the summer (that never happened! lol) I used this up after I finished my full size of the Fix+. I do not remember how much this little size cost but you can get the full size on the Mac website and at Myer or David Jones for $27.00 100ml, I like to use this prior to primer to hydrate my face so the question is will I buy it again? I am currently waiting on the new limited edition Mac Cosmetics Fix+ scented range as I would like to get the Rosewater and Cucumber! Other than that I would buy it again but I would like to try the Urban Decay one next.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation
I got this foundation when Priceline had their 40% all cosmetics sale in Nov 2013, I went both of the days but I purchased this on the second day of their sale and I bought about 5 foundations.

This is in the shade DW3 I'm sorry I do not know the exact name on the colour as it has rubbed off on the packaging, it is runny when dispersed out of the package, as with all my other foundations I like to apply it with the Beauty Blender, and let me tell you when this product was applied to my face it looked smooth and airbushed and I was quite impressed. I would buy it again if I didn't have too much foundations in my collection already and great for you ladies out there who doesn't want to spend big money for high end. Go for this!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel
Before I purchased this moisturiser I was using the Chanel Le Lift Creme that cost $179! I didn't see any difference when using it, it was hydrating but the only thing I liked about it was the smell it had a rose type of smell and other than that I will not spend that much money on a moisturiser ever again I cringe when I think about it and I still have the empty Chanel container in my Coles bag as I do not have the heart to throw it away since I paid for that much.

I decided to go for a drugstore cheaper alternative for a moisturiser so this came into mind, the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel came out this year in Australia not sure to be exact but I think it was around Feb? Don't quote me on that, I purchased this at Chemist Warehouse for $20 as it was on special at the time, I received a free mask to go with it also. They come in different ranges such as the Night Concentrate ($18.69), Eye Roll-On ($14.99) and Water Gel ($18.69) all can be purchased at Chemist Warehouse for these prices.

I got this because it had the words "hydro" and "water" as you viewers are already know by now I have dry skin so I wanted a moisturiser that can take away my dryness, when applied to my face it was refreshing and hydrating like I had splash water onto my face and has a thin consistency. I would gladly buy this again but I would like to try new things, I am currently using the Ponds Cream Dry Skin and I am loving that too!

OGX/Organix Argan oil Treatment
My hair is dry and damaged from all the chemicals of dying my hair since I was 12 till now (26) also with blow drying and straightening my hair everyday. I required a hair treatment/hair mask that I can do at home and I saw this, I got this when Princeline was having a 40% all hair care products sale. These are $19.99 at Priceline but with the 40% off it was $11.99 and at Chemist Warehouse it retails for $14.99.

It states on the packaging you can use it as a normal conditioner or as a hair treatment on your hair for an hour, I use to completely pamper myself on Sundays doing this treatment wrapped in glad wrap but I aint got no time for that now! So I use it when I'm in the shower placing this on my ends only then after my other in shower conditioner the reason why I do this is, if I don't use my second conditioner and leave this one it leaves my roots feeling oily which I am not sure why it does this to my hair whereas using two conditioners it acts as a double strength conditioner leaving my hair super soft lasting 2 days as I like to shower every second day.

Estee Lauder Take It Away Makeup Remover Lotion
I purchased this product about 2-3 years ago when I wanted to buy a backup of the Double Wear foundation in Fresco. Before that day I went to the Estee Lauder counter in Myer to get the lady to help me pick out another colour because I wanted something lighter than Fresco, she removed my makeup with this product if you are wondering what it is, it is a lotion that removes waterproof and long wear makeup with a citrus scent and you can apply it with your hands or with a cotton pad (which I prefer).

I got sucked into this when the lady removed my makeup with it because the scent lingered on my face the whole day and I loved the smell. On that day I couldn't buy it as I had no mula :( the next time I went they were out of stock because they were redoing the packaging or reformulating the product (that's what the lady told me) so I went again another day and I could finally purchase it :) I was using it for a while to remove my foundation but it left my skin feeling tight and dry, I didn't like it and avoid using it until now I tend to use my Johnsons Johnsons makeup wipes which comes in a 3 pack and it works better for my skin.

Sorry I forgot to mention the price, it is $50 at the Estee Lauder online, Myer and David Jones counters you can also buy the oil makeup remover which is also $50. To be honest it is quite expensive whereas the Johnsons Johnsons the 3 pack cost me $15 at Chemist Warehouse. With this I kept wasting heaps and heaps of cotton pads whereas the wipes I only use 1 or sometimes 2, with that being said I will not be repurchasing due to the price and how it made my skin feel as it made it feel tight after application.

Urban Decay Primer Potion
When I first started watching makeup tutorials on YouTube every girl was using this to prime their eyelids, back then I wasn't into the makeup more towards the art of makeup and that was about 5-6 years ago. Later down the track as you all know I went to the US for 5 weeks and of course I had to drop by the Sephora store and buy 4 of these products. I gave one away to my friend Linda and the rest I have finished, when I bought them at the states they cost $39 but that is not including tax I am not sure how much the cost was including GST but you can buy them at Mecca online or in Mecca Maxima for $30 or the mini size $20. I would glady buy this again and I have bought a backup, I am currently using the UD anti aging eyeshadow primer in the mini size and the Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

Mac Cosmetics Marine Bright Toner
I purchased this product on a whim at IMATS Sydney last year before that I had never heard reviews on this product. I can't remember how much I paid for this item, they have also discontinued this I am pretty sure as I tried to look up the price on theac website and I could not locate the item, I apply this to my face in swiping motion with a cotton pad to freshen up my face after I have removed my makeup with makeup wipes. I do this more than once if I have to if I can still see makeup residue on the cotton pad, overall it had a nice scent to it and was hydrating on the face.

After purchasing this product I went on YouTube to see the reviews and majority of them said they loved it, call me a tough critic but to me it is just another toner and I didn't see any benefits whatsoever. I am a type of person if a company is good at one thing they should stick to it i.e. Mac Cosmetics provide excellent makeup but on the other hand their skincare range not so good, well to me they're not the best.

Many years ago I bought from them an exfoliating product, I would use it in the shower only once to twice a week as I have used it a couple of times it made my face dry as hell! I never used it after that and it was sitting in my shower collecting rust from the water. After a few months down the track I finally had the guts to chuck it in the bin WHAT A WASTE! I have to say the only good skincare product from them is the Mac Fix+ with that being said it is obviously a no repurchase on this product and thank goodness I finished it up.

NARS Limited Edition Nail Polish - No Limits
This nail polish came in the Guy Bourdin collection I think it was about 2-3 years ago that the collection was released and I paid for this $40 at Mecca Maxima. From the collection I really wanted the blush palette but they were sold out :( I went for this instead and you are probably asking yourself behind your phone/computer it looks like a full bottle? Well it is, the first time I used it when I went to the nail salon to remove my fake nails as I was getting ready to go to my boyfriend's brother's graduation. When the lady applied this to my nails we were both disappointed as to how it applied, it was streaky and wasn't opaque at all! She applied many coats of it and it still was patchy, shr ended up choosing an OPI nail polish for me and if you are wondering if I am currently wearing the shade in these photos, no I am not the colour I am wearing is the Mecca Cosmetica in Timandra which I received as a birthday gift from them. I would never recommend Nars nail polish if the rest are like this, with that being said I will not buy this again.

Imperial Leather Foamburst Foaming Shower Gel
I saw this product in a commercial on the tele a few years back and was intrigued because when it is dispensed from the can it foams up quickly and lathers your body. Originally when I first saw these at Chemist Warehouse they were $6 each and I thought that was way too expensive for body wash, then I saw it on sale in the catalogue for $2! So of course I had to take that opportunity to stock up on it and let me be honest to tell you I bought 10 lol I was tempted to buy the complete self stock but at the time I couldn't be bothered because 1. I already had a sufficient amount and 2. I had to take the train home back then and 10 was already heavy enough, I purchased them in different scents and have been using it 3 years later, I have been repurchasing them only it they are $2.

On the packaging it claims it last up to 40+ washes and I believe thay is true so as long you dont dispensed too much you only need a little to cover your entire body as it foams up quickly. The only thing I like about it is the packaging and the scents that are available I like to apply this onto my hands working from top to bottom, it might be better with a loofah but have never trailed it out nor can I be bothered lol.

Vaseline Total Moisture 24hr Nourishing Lotion
I bought this after finishing my Garnier Body Intensive 7 days Rich Repairing Lotion with Shea Butter,  I required something with a pump because it is easier for me to dispensed so I decided to go for this one. This one is 400ml and was purchased at Chemist Warehouse for $6.99, I really didn't like it because it did not hydrate my skin, it has a thin consistency and it claims to be 24hrs nourishing lotion but I felt it only lasted for a few hours because when I came home from work to change my attire to my comfortable clothes I saw dead skin falling off my body. The one thing I liked about this lotion was the scent it lingered from changing my clothes all the way to work, as you already notice I wouldn't be repurchasing this product and currently I am using the Nivea Nourishing Lotion in 400ml.

Mecca Cosmetica Lip De Luscious SPF 25
I first bought this product when my local Mecca Maxima first opened and I needed a lip treatment to place on my lips prior to lipstick application as my lips are naturally dry and flaky so I saw this on the shelf it cost me $28. Overall I loved it and I'm sad to see it go it did moisturise my lips and the product is thick on application. I would love to buy this again but after I finish my Chanel Hydra Beauty Nutrition.

Dove Hair Theraphy Daily Moisture Conditioner
I bought this at my local Coles supermarket for $6 or $8 as this product was on sale but usually it is $13.08. This was very nourishing on my hair and I like to pair this with my Head & Shoulders Peppermint Itchy Scalp shampoo as I have itchy scalp for some reason and no I do not have dandruff. It left my hair feeling really soft and I wouldn't mind buying this product again but as you know I like to mix up my products and this also comes with a pump.

Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Liner
I bought about 8 of these Rimmel liquid eyeliners when Priceline was having their 40% off all cosmetics sale last November and these retail for $10.46 or $11.69 at Chemist Warehouse. With any of my eye pencil or liquid eyeliners I like to purchase them in the shade black and this one is in 100% Black, I wouldn't use any other liquid eyeliners this is hands down the best for me! I like my liquid liners with a stiff brush tip for better control and it dries to a matte finish. I have tried the Maybelline Hyerglossy liquid eyeliner which dries glossy and I was so stupid to get it, I only bought it because Chemist Warehouse was having 50% off all cosmetics and my local Chemist Warehouse only stocked two makeup brands. I didn't like it because it was glossy which states it is glossy which was stupid of me not to read the packaging.

Nivea Irresistibly Smooth Body Lotion
This product I can't remember if I purchased it at Chemist Warehouse or at Priceline, this cost $7.99 in Priceline and $4.99 at Chemist Warehouse. This comes with a pump and it contains 400ml of product, it did hydrate my skin and I use it after showers taking the time to apply it from top to bottom, I do this because I have a skin condition which I am required to moisturise everyday. I am currently using the same brand but in the white bottle with that being said I would repurchase in the future.

That concludes my empties blog post and I hope you enjoyed my first ever empties blog post, I apologise if the blog was too long but I wanted to share my information about these products, if you have used up some of your products please let me know down below what you thought about them and if you would buy them again or let me know what I should try next :)

    2. Haha! I just moved houses and found so many sample and deluxe sized samples from skincare to hair care. I've put a ban on spending until I use up every single skincare, body care and hair sample that I've accumulated! Should keep me busy for the next couple of months! x
